Polyps

Polyps are outgrowths of tissue from the lining of the intestine or stomach. The most common polyps look like little mushrooms with a small stalk and a bulkier end. Others are flatter and grow directly on the wall of the intestine. To learn more about the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of polyps in children, download the GastroKids Fact Sheet on Polyps.
